Radja Nainggolan Dismisses B******* Claims of Him Ditching International Duty for Roma

Published on: 08 October 2016

"?AS Roma and Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan has slammed claims of him being healthy enough to play for his country after going back to Italy injured, by labelling them as b*******.

The 28-year-old pulled out of action for Belgium during this international break because of an injury. But upon returning to his club, he featured in a training ground friendly against Roma's reserve side.

This has led to the player being criticised, and accusations of deliberately skipping international duty have been levelled at him.

The player has taken to Twitter to defend his actions, and has insisted that he was only trying to regain match fitness in a less physical environment.

"I read some b******t about how I've played in a training match against the Roma reserves," he posted on his official Twitter account.

"I'm trying to get physically OK. Is a friendly match against the youth to get fit now as hard or tough to play as an official contest?

"I'm not fit enough to play an official match."

@OfficialRadja ENGLISH TRANSLATION: I'm reading a lot of bullsh*t about playing against an AS Roma youth team. I'm not fit enough for an+

+official match but playing a friendly against a youth team just doesn't have the same intensity as an official match.

"?"?Belgium, meanwhile, did quite well without Nainggolan in the squad. They beat Bosnia and Herzegovina in Brussels on Friday, with Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard, Toby Alderweireld and an Emir Spahic own goal combining to give them a 4-0 win.
