Police Hunting for Manchester United Bus Attackers as Photos Are Released

"?Police hunting the West Ham supporters who vandalised the Manchester United team bus prior to the farewell game at the Boleyn Ground have moved a step closer to apprehending the culprits after they released photographs of the suspects.


"?Manchester Evening News tweeted a picture of four men in order to help spread awareness of who is suspected of the horrendous attacks on the United coach as it arrived at Upton Park.

The match in East London, which was due to begin at 7:45pm, ended up being delayed by 45 minutes after the "?"?attacks by home fans left players of the team in danger of injury after the glass windows were smashed open.


The supporters in question used missiles and tins of beer at the bus as it pulled into the stadium, with police officers escorting the coach also the target of physical abuse with hurled objects thrown at them.

Commander BJ Harrington of the Metropolitan Police called the actions of the group of fans 'totally unacceptable'.


"Behaviour of the kind we saw before Tuesday's match is totally unacceptable.


"The vast majority of people were well-behaved, but we are looking to deal with a small minority of individuals who committed criminal acts.


"We are working closely with both clubs to bring these individuals to justice, and I would urge anyone who recognises the men in these pictures to contact police."
