Paul Pogba Takes Plaudits for Ridiculous Assist for Arsenal's Oliver Giroud During France's 3-2 Win

Published on: 30 May 2016

"?Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba took the plaudits once again on Monday evening for a quite simply sublime assist for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.

The 23-year-old is set to be one of France's most promising stars at this summer's Euro 2016, a tournament that Les Bleus are favourites to win for a third time.

And it's hard to question the odds after another superb attacking display against Cameroon.

The midfield dynamo picked up the ball just inside the opposition half, proceeded to skin a Cameroonian defender before whipping in a scrumptious 40-yard curling pass perfectly onto Giroud's boot.

"?"?The Arsenal man has come under criticism in recent weeks from the France supporters as a result of Karim Benzema's omission from the squad. "?However, Giroud confidently finished off Pogba's inch-perfect cross to notch his 15th international goal.

This wasn't the only jaw-dropping moment of the game, as with less than a minute of the game left and with the scores delicately poised at 2-2, West Ham's influential midfielder Dimitri Payet curled home a trademark free-kick to win the game.
