"?Patrice Evra has reaffirmed his commitment to the Juventus cause by signing a one-year extension to his current deal.

The news comes courtesy of "?Juventus' official site, with the club confirming that Evra will now remain in Turin until June 2017.

The full back has the option of extending his contract by a further twelve months after that, if both parties agree to take up the option.

Evra joined I Bianconeri from Premier League side Manchester United in the summer of 2014 for a fee in the region of £1.5m.

Back then, Evra stated that he was happy to have joined Juventus after winning all he could in England's top flight.

He said: "I won everything in Manchester, but now I am starting again with Juventus. I have achieved nothing yet.

"I'm here to give everything to the team because I enjoy being successful and Juve will help me to continue winning trophies."

The 35-year-old made 35 appearances in all competitions for the Italian outfit last season, scoring twice and providing three assists and even featured in a wide left midfield position on 18 occasions throughout last term.

Since moving to Italy, Evra has won two Serie A titles, two Italian Cups and one Italian Super Cup with Masamilliano Allegri's men as Juventus made history by securing two domestic doubles.

The left back has made 69 appearances in total since making the switch from Old Trafford to the Juventus Stadium.

Despite his age, the veteran defender is part of Didier Deschamp's 23-man France squad for the upcoming Euro 2016 Championships, due to be held in France, and Evra will be hoping to add to his 72 caps for Les Bleus on home turf.

The hosts are set to take on Switzerland, Romania and Albania in Group A of the international tournament, and will be expected to progress to the knock-out stages of the competition.
