Pablo Zabaleta Considering Manchester City Exit as Inter Milan Linked With Move

Pablo Zabaleta could become a casualty in the Pep Guardiola revolution with the Manchester City boss on the lookout for new full-backs, according to "?Manchester Evening News.

The 31-year-old's future has come under doubt with the arrival of Guardiola, and it is believed that Zabaleta is ready to call time on his 8-year career at the Etihad by listening to offers.

One club that is said to be interested is Inter Milan, where Zabaleta would of course link up with his former manager at Manchester City, Roberto Mancini. And the right-back's agent has not ruled out the possibility of a transfer.

Federico Pastorello told Telelombardia: "I understand Pep Guardiola has been confirmed, but the opportunities in the market are endless.

"Should there be other opportunities, we will evaluate."

Zabaleta only has a year left on his contract which could prompt Manchester City into selling the defender this summer. If that is the case, then Guardiola is almost certain to go through with his plan of signing at least one new full-back.

One name that has been mentioned is Hector Bellerin, but it is unlikely that Arsenal will sell one of their most talented and promising players to a domestic rival. Bellerin has also stated that he is "?happy at the North London club amid speculation that Barcelona could make a move for their former youth product.

Zabaleta has been a first-team regular for most of his Manchester City career, but poor form and lack of fitness has seen the Argentine drop in the pecking order behind Bacary Sagna.
