Olivier Giroud claims that the whole Arsenal squad, including Mesut Ozil, is responsible for the club's failure to land the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners finished second, losing out to Leicester City in the race, and would have finished below Tottenham as well, had Mauricio Pochettino's side not slipped up in the last few games of the campaign.
The French striker was the butt of criticism from Arsenal fans, following a 15-game goal drought, but he insists that the blame rests on everyone's shoulders, singling out Ozil, who had a much better season.
"Our problems were collective,"? he said to French newspaper "?L'Equipe. "I've been less efficient compared to the first half of the season, but it is same for all the players, either Ozil or another.
"We mostly talk about the striker because you are at the end of the line.
"I didn't play well in some matches, it's true, but I was also present in very important matches, against Leicester for example.
"In the Champions League, if we qualified from the first knock-out round it was also through my hat-trick against Olympiakos."?
Giroud can't expect his words to go down well with Arsenal supporters, but it's probably payback for Ozil liking an Instagram post which took a dig at him a few days back.
The German came close to tying Thierry Henry's record of 20 assists in a Premier League season, but fell just short, much like Cesc Fabregas did in the prior campaign.
The cheeky post attributed Ozil's disappointment to Giroud's goal drought, and the midfielder seconded with a like.
