NFF gets new anti-corruption and transparency unit

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on Wednesday inaugurated new members of the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), NigeriaSoccernet.com can report

NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, MON, welcomed the development, noting that the ICPC partnership has strengthened the Federation’s governance and record-keeping. He said ACTU’s role is essential in ensuring transparency and preventing actions that could lead to investigations or indictments.

ICPC Chairman, Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, praised the NFF for its support and described the inauguration as a key step in empowering the Unit to perform its duties effectively. He urged the new members to uphold integrity and professionalism.

New ACTU Chairperson, Barr. Queen Otarakpo pledged commitment on behalf of her team and acknowledged the efforts of the outgoing Unit. She assured the NFF leadership of diligence and accountability in carrying out their mandate.

The committee members are: Mrs Queen Otarakpo (Chairperson), Mallam Abdulrasheed Usman, Mallam Yakubu Abdumalik, Miss Ann Okoro, Hajiya Amina Daura, Mr Tasiu Riskuwa Shehu, and Mr Ahmed Yusuf.

The event was attended by staff of both the ICPC and NFF, including senior directors and department heads.
