Newcastle Legend Alan Shearer Reveals Which Current Premier League Manager He Would Love to Play for

"?Newcastle legend turned BBC football pundit Alan Shearer has revealed that if he could play for any Premier League side right now, it would be Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.

The 46-year-old still holds the record for the most number of goals scored in the top flight of English football, scoring 260 times in 441 domestic appearances for the likes of Blackburn Rovers and his beloved Newcastle United.

And when asked which club he would join right now if he had the chance to put his boots back on and notch up a few more goals, Shearer had no hesitation in choosing his favourite, and it would mean moving up to Merseyside and playing at Anfield.

"At the minute, it would have to be that Liverpool team," said the Premier League legend to "?BBC Sport's Facebook page.

"The number of chances that they create, the way they play, they're exciting, they're pacy, the way they hit teams on the break.

"As long as I can stay in the box and put all those chances away then it would be the Liverpool team of the minute."?

The one-time Premier League winner with Blackburn would be joining a side who have just recently reached the summit of the table following a 6-1 thrashing of Walter Mazzarri's Watford at Anfield, and remain unbeaten since a 2-0 loss to Burnley in the second game of the campaign.

And Klopp's men will be hoping to maintain their position in the league after the international break, where they will travel to St. Mary's to face Southampton.
