The son of Napoli's owner "?Aurelio De Laurentiis, has claimed any rumours linking their star striker Gonzalo Higuain with a move to Italian champions Juventus are nothing more than a "hoax".
This is despite all of the daily sports papers in Italy claiming that the Old Lady are willing to match Napoli's 97.4m euro (£78.89m) asking price, although they named no sources.
The three papers, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Il Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport, are all adamant that a bid has been placed for the Argentina international.
Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on a move for the 28-year-old striker, with both said to be watching closely on the situation and set to pounce should a deal with Juventus fall through.
However, the son of Napoli's owner has spoken to "?La Gazzetta Dello Sport claiming the whole situation to be a 'hoax', when he said "the whole thing is a hoax."
He then went onto to claim there is no chance of a deal when he added: ''You should not believe everything.''
Arsenal may lose out on Gonzalo Higuain again, with Juventus making a move.

This is because Napoli value their prize asset so highly they have put in such a high release clause in a desperate attempt to put off any potential suitors after his fantastic season in the Serie A, in which he scored 36 goals in the league in 35 games.
It had, in contrast, been recently reported that his brother and agent had recently held talks with Arsenal about a potential move. Which comes in addition to the interest from Liverpool sparked after Jurgen Klopp was spotted watching the striker at an Argentina fixture recently.
The forward has only just returned from the Copa America after Argentina lost another final to Chile, although Higuain still managed to score four times in a very congested attack that boasts Lionel Messi, Sergio Arguero and Angel Di Maria.
Higuain only signed for Napoli in 2013 after his £34.5m move from Real Madrid and has since gone on to make in excess of a century of league appearances for Napoli.
