Mozambique unveil squadlist, include 42 year-old Domingues for AFCON 2025

Mozambique head coach, Chiquinho Conde has announced his final 25-man squad for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Mambas, making their sixth appearance at Africa's flagship competition, will look to progress beyond the group stage for the first time in their history.

The squad features a mix of experienced players and new talent, with 16 players returning from the last edition in Côte d'Ivoire.

Notable inclusions are goalkeeper Kimiss Zavala, defenders Óscar Cherene, Diogo Calila, and Chamboco, midfielders Kambala and Kenys Abdala, and forwards Melque, Faisal Bangal, and Chamito, who are all making their AFCON debuts.

Also, 42-year-old midfielder Dominguez earns his way into AFCON squad. If he features, will be the second-oldest player to compete at the finals after Essam El Hadary (44y 21d) at AFCON 2017 final.

The other experienced players include Mexer, Reinildo, Bruno Langa, and Edmilson Dove in defence, Guima, Alfons Amade and João Bonde in midfield, and Ratifo, Gildo, Geny Catamo, and Witi in attack.

Mozambique's preparations are underway for the tournament, which kicks off on December 21.
