"?Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele has accused former Stoke City defender Andy Wilkinson of trying to injure him on purpose, over a challenge that happened six years ago.
Dembele was playing for Fulham at the time when in a 2010 League Cup match against Stoke, right-back Wilkinson was booked for a vicious challenge on the Belgian, which kept him sidelined for three weeks.
And it seems Dembele still hasn't forgotten the incident, telling Belgian publication "?DH that he still holds a grudge about the tackle which saw Wilkinson pick up a yellow card.
"That injury, I remember it. Wilkinson assaulted me," said Dembele. "Yes, he injured me on purpose.
"I was absent for a while [three weeks]. Unfortunately, injuries are part of a footballer's life. I've already had a few, but I can't complain."?
It isn't the first time Stoke have been accused of rough tactics, with their physicality a staple part of Tony Pulis' tactics when in charge at the Britannia Stadium.
And the most infamous of tackles was Ryan Shawcross' challenge on Aaron Ramsey, breaking the Arsenal midfielder's leg in the process, a challenge many Gunners have not forgiven Shawcross or Stoke for.
Nowadays though, Mark Hughes has earned rave reviews for the way he has transformed Stoke into a ball-playing side capable of attracting talented attackers.
The Potters have finished ninth in three of Hughes' seasons in charge and qualification for the Europa League should be a priority for Stoke next season.
Meanwhile, former Potter Wilkinson has had to retire from football aged just 31, as he struggled to recover from a head injury suffered while playing for Millwall.
