Marouane Fellaini Reveals Eagerness to Return to Manchester United Starting Line Up for FA Cup Final

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has revealed his determination to return to the United starting lineup for Saturday's FA Cup final against Crystal Palace after serving his three-match ban, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The midfield combatant received retrospective action following his altercation with Leicester City defender Robert Huth in United's 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in the beginning of the month.

The former Everton midfielder missed United's final three Premier League games- a 1-0 win against Norwich, the costly 3-2 defeat away to West Ham, and Tuesday's delayed 3-1 victory over Bournemouth.

His absence for the costly defeat against West Ham was bemoaned by Louis van Gaal at the time, citing his useful aerial prowess against the physically-imposing Hammers.

And the Belgium international has played some of his best matches in a United shirt this season in the FA Cup with goals in both the quarter-final replay against West Ham and in the semi-final against his former club Everton.

But Fellaini recognises he faces a battle to get back in the team but he has nevertheless outlined his happiness in getting to final again but will be hoping to go one better than the 2009 FA Cup final loss he suffered with Everton against Chelsea.

"Everyone wants to play in the final," Fellaini said. "At a club like United you have a lot of competition, a lot of players who want to play in the final.

"In the end, the manager decides and I hope we can win. I want to win something here."

United's opponents on the day are Crystal Palace and Alan Pardew's side have steadied the ship somewhat after their alarming dip in form during the mid-way point of the season.

United beat Palace 2-0 in April and they are considered to be overwhelming favourites to take the FA Cup for the first time in 12 years but despite this, Fellaini is refusing to become complacent with United's chances at Wembley.

"A final is a different game," he added. "It's 50/50. I think it will be tough. We beat them at home in the league but it will be completely different.

"To win something is always special. With Everton we got to the final and I did it in Belgium when we won the league (with Standard Liege). It was amazing."
