"?Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph has praised new boss Pep Guardiola as "the best manager in the world."
Guardiola started work at City just over a fortnight ago and Delph is already impressed with what he has seen from the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona manager.
"Every manager has their own methods, their own systems of play "? there's no two alike,"? Delph told Manchester City's "?official club website.
"I believe we've got the best manager in the world here at City "? already in the first two to three weeks I've been so impressed with what we've been doing - the different systems, the intensity of training, his man management skills "? it's been brilliant for me.
"It's so intense - high pressing, very energetic. it's been tough but it's been very, very good."
Delph and Manchester City lost their opening pre-season game 1-0 to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, but Delph is not concerned with the result and is aware that it may take some time for the team to adapt to what Guardiola is implementing.
"It was our first game, because of that we're trying to implement the systems we've been working on," said Delph.
"It's not going to happen overnight but the boys are switched on and eager to impress the new manager "? we're all really enjoying our football."
Manchester City's next pre-season fixture is against rivals Manchester United on Monday in the International Champions Cup in China, although the game could be cancelled due to torrential rain and heavy flooding.
