Man City Ace Kevin de Bruyne Reportedly Out for a Month Following Hamstring Injury

Published on: 24 September 2016

"?Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne is set for a month on the sidelines, having suffered a hamstring injury during his side's Premier League clash with Swansea City on Saturday.

The Belgian limped off less than 10 minutes into the match, but things didn't really appear serious, and it was expected that he would possibly be back for City's next match.

However, sources are claiming that the player's camp was told, by City medical staff, that he will be out for up to four weeks. The report also claims that De Bruyne will be leaving for Barcelona on Monday, where he will receive treatment.

There will be an international break while the player is out, which bodes well for the Manchester club. But he's likely to miss matches against Celtic, Tottenham, Everton, Barcelona and Southampton if he remains out the entire four weeks.

The next match he could play - if the timeline is correct - would be City's EFL Cup clash with rivals Manchester United. But if Guardiola decides not to throw him in just yet, the Premier League fixture against West Brom on 29 October should see him return to action.

Meanwhile, City are enjoying an incredible run under their new boss, having won all six of the league matches so far. It's hard to see them slowing down now, although this latest setback could prove a huge worry.
