Published on: 01 June 2016

"?Danny Ings is hoping to have a part to play next season under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool as he aims to get back on the pitch following his recovery from injury.

The Englishman had only made nine appearances following his £6.5m move from Burnley last summer when he partially tore his ACL, leaving him out injured for seven months.

Klopp gave the 23-year-old a nod of faith in the final game of the season against West Brom by subbing him on for his first appearance since his injury.

Now, Ings is keen to repay Klopp's faith and impress the German.

"I want to give everything I've got, I want to impress, I want to do whatever I can to help the team," he told Goal. "I want to win trophies and I want to be part of a successful club. "I know that in order for that to happen, us players have to make it happen. I know pre-season is about fitness and not not going all out, but I don't know how to relax when it comes to football.

"Even in my first few full sessions back after rehab I was running around like a kid chasing every pass, closing down and being desperate to score goals in training.

"I think it's just from passion and desire and I don't think that will change."
