Liverpool Target £15m Move for Sassuolo Right Back Sime Vrsaljko

"?Sassuolo right back Sime Vrsaljko has become a target for Liverpool in a deal which could be as much as £15m, according to Spanish newspaper "?AS.

The Croatian international, who will be hoping to play in this summer's European Championships after being called up to Ante Cacic's provisional 27 man squad, has performed well over the past campaign.

The 24-year-old helped Sassuolo pip Italian giants AC Milan to 6th place, qualifying them for next seasons Europa League, while making 35 appearances for the side in the process.

Vrsaljko's consistent performances have sparked numerous rumours of possible moves away from the Mapei Stadium, including fellow Serie A side Napoli and Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid.

Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napol, Sassuolo General Manager Giovanni Carnevali said there have been offers from clubs around the world.

He added: "There are several offers for him, including from foreign clubs.

"In Italy, Napoli have been continually interested since last year, but we won't give him up easily.

In short, we'll evaluate all good offers from around Europe."?

This comes after another "?"?"?report that Liverpool's interest in AC Milan's Carlos Bacca was quashed after a £16m bid for the striker came in from West Ham.

Liverpool looked keen on signing the 29-year-old in an effort to bolster their attack, but the Merseyside club were not expecting to have to pay such a high fee for the player, who is said to be after a £60,000-a-week deal should he move.

Sergio Barila, Bacca's agent, has recently spoken out and stated that the player is most likely to stay at the San Siro.

He said: "He's happy at Milan and wants to win a trophy in the Rossoneri shirt.

"He's not thinking about his future, just about doing well in the moment."
