"?Since signing for Liverpool from Inter Milan in 2013, Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho has become a household name.
The 24-year-old is a fan-favourite at Anfield, having made 150 appearances for the Reds and scoring 31 goals. But now the Brazilian international is receiving attention for something outside of football, namely his 'James Milner-esque' tweets from way back in 2011, when he was still playing for Inter.
Hi. Today we had training in two periods. Now I'm going to dinner. bye
Coutinho, to his credit, was clearly trying to learn English before securing a Premier League move, and this means that, while his tweets were written in English, they lacked the typical enthusiasm you'd expect from a young footballer.
In September 2011 he wrote: "Hi. Today we had training in two periods. Now I'm going to dinner. Bye."
Five months after his first tweet, his grasp of the English language clearly still needed some work - he wrote: "We trained in the morning. Now I am walking in the city. Bye."
There are a number of other comical tweets from the Liverpool star originating from the same period, but he eventually steered away from social media, his last tweet coming in October 2015.
