Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp's Adds Bundesliga Winger to His Transfer Targets

"?RB Leipzig's Swedish midfielder Emil Forsberg has emerged as a another transfer target for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

With Sadio Mane missing the whole of January due to AFCON, "?The Independent are reporting that 25-year-old Forsberg is the man Klopp wants to bring in as a cover for his man from Senegal.

The Swedish international currently tops the assists charts in the Bundesliga and has been crucial in the club's surprising push for domestic glory this season.

The report suggests Liverpool would have to part with around £20m to obtain the services of the Swede, but with his eye for creating chances, that could be seen as money well spent if the deal were to happen.

Another of Klopp's targets Quincy Promes has been urged by his national teammate and current Anfield star Giorginio Wijnaldum to make the switch to Merseyside.

Dutch international Promes has made 72 appearances for Spartak Moscow, scoring 37 times as well as assisting 17. His explosive style of play has resulted in the 24-year-old being linked with Klopp's men earlier this season.

Speaking after Liverpool's triumph over Manchester City, Wijnaldum explained: "I think Quincy knows how great Liverpool is, I knew it before I came here. Of course I want him to come to Liverpool because I know he is a good player and also a good person who can help the team."

One deal that seems unlikely, however, is the transfer of Joe Hart to the red half of Merseyside. The 29-year-old shot-stopper, who is currently on loan at Torino, has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs since Pep Guardiola's arrival in Manchester.

Despite Liverpool's keeper woes however, Klopp has dismissed reports that he is interested in the Englishman's services.

Benfica striker Raul Jimenez is someone Klopp is interested in. The Mexican international is being linked with a £22m move to Anfield after a fine run of displays this season.

Whether or not Klopp signs some or all of the players mentioned above, it is clear to see Liverpool aren't happy with settling for a space in the Champions League. The transfer targets are a clear sign of intent from the Reds, as they aim to push for Premier League glory.
