Liverpool Dealt Transfer Blow as Piotr Zielinski Agrees Terms With Napoli

"?Reports coming out of Italy claim that Liverpool target Piotr Zielinski has agreed personal terms with Serie A outfit Napoli.

Reds boss Jurgen is believed to be a huge admirer of the 22-year-old, and considered making a move for the player in January. He eventually decided against it, opting to wait until the summer so he could make further assessments.

It was expected that the German would complete Zielinski's signing soon, but it appears that Napoli have stolen a march, and according to "?Football Italia (h/t Mediaset Premium), they will announce the Poland international's transfer in the coming days.

The report also claims that, along with the €12m fee, Napoli will also be sending Camilo Zuniga the other way, and that the player is to join Watford on a loan deal.

Zielinski's move would also be a blow to Borussia Dortmund, who are rumoured to be interested in the player as well, as they were left impressed with his performances at Empoli whilst on loan from Udinese over the past two seasons.

The Poland international was also thought to have been holding out for a Liverpool move, and was even spotted holding a Liverpool shirt sometime last month. But with the Reds lackadaisical approach, he seems Napoli bound now.

If the Italian club does complete the transfer, Zielinski would represent yet another player highly tipped to join Liverpool who has signed for another club.
