"?Liverpool are closing in on the signature of Piotr Zielinski having had "a few days of reflection", according to Messaggero Sport.
Reports in Italy suggest the deal is very close to being done after a week in which the deal had looked to have been scrapped by Liverpool. Udinese midfielder Zielinski was close to signing for Liverpool a week ago but his agent Bartolomiej Bolek then revealed any possible deal was at risk.
The Serie A midfielder is also a target for Napoli, but was suggested to Klopp by his assistant Zeljko Buvac, "?Soccer"?Lens report.
Liverpool had reportedly switched their attention towards Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud, who was said to be Jurgen Klopp's first choice.
"Is the Liverpool move at risk? Yes, maybe, it's difficult to say. At the moment the lad is totally concentrated on the Euros."? Zielinski's agent Bolek told the "?Daily Mirror last week.
Since then Dahoud's club Borussia Mönchengladbach have lost midfielders Håvard Nordtveit and Granit Xhaka to Premier League sides West Ham and Arsenal respectively making any deal for Dahoud more difficult.
Liverpool are instead expected to complete the signing of Zielinski in the coming days with both AS Roma and Napoli monitoring the situation closely and ready to take advantage if the Reds opt to delay the transfer even further.
Zielinski was on loan at Empoli last term. Liverpool will get the chance to see their potential new signing this summer when he represents his country Poland at the Euro's where he will link up with Robert Lewandowski as they face Germany, Ukraine and Northern Ireland.
