Barcelona superstar and five-time Ballon d'Or recipient Lionel Messi has unsurprisingly been named the most valuable footballer in the world following a recent study by the CIES Football Observatory, who believe the diminutive Argentine is worth a shade over €211m.
Messi leads Barça colleague Neymar, valued at an impressive €202m, while Cristiano Ronaldo is number three on the list, but a long way behind at €138m.
€120m-rated Antoine Griezmann, tipped to shine at Euro 2016 with France this summer after a stunning season with Atletico Madrid, means that top four is an entirely La Liga affair.
Coming in at number five is England's Harry Kane. The 22-year-old won the Premier League Golden Boot in 2015/16 and is just at the very start of his career.
With transfer fees set to soar in the coming years, Kane's value is said to be €113m, well over double what Manchester United were reportedly willing to offer Tottenham for his services last summer.
Likewise, Old Trafford youngster Anthony Martial, still just 20 years of age, is valued at an almost as impressive €112m. Barcelona's Luis Suarez and Paulo Dybala of Juventus are the only other players valued at more than €100m to round off the top eight.
The likes of Sergio Aguero and Paul Pogba tip the scales at over €90m, Gareth Bale is worth €81m, while Dele Alli featured 14th in the world at €74m. The future appears bright for England, because Raheem Sterling is valued at €73m.
Arsenal's Hector Bellerin is the most valuable defender in the world, despite his young age. The Spaniard, linked with a return to Barcelona this summer as a replacement for the departing Dani Alves, is supposed to be worth €56m.
Outside the top 30, Nicolas Otamendi is still valued at €45m despite his poor season at Manchester City, while Leicester dynamo N'Golo Kante is now worth an astonishing €44m. So is Manchester United flop Memphis Depay, and Riyad Mahrez is worth €42m.
Jose Mourinho reportedly wants rid of Daley Blind at Old Trafford, but the Dutchman is the 57th most valuable player in the world at €40m, while former non-league star Jamie Vardy is worth €35m - that's as much as Angel Di Maria, Sadio Mane, Felipe Anderson and Dimitri Payet.
