Leicester City Boss Claudio Ranieri Inducted Into Italian Football Federation Hall of Fame

"?Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has been recognised in his country for his incredible achievement last season, and has been "?inducted into the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) Hall of Fame.

Last year, the 65-year-old became the third Italian manager to win the Premier League title, joining countrymen Carlo Ancelotti and Roberto Mancini. He oversaw the most shocking title win in English top-flight history, fending off the league's giants to reach the pinnacle of achievements as a manager.

The FIGC has paid recognition to productive Italians in the sport for the sixth year running. And having won the FIFA Men's Coach of the Year earlier this month, the Foxes boss has been rewarded yet again.

Leicester won't be successfully defending their title this year, but Antonio Conte's Chelsea side look like they could be the ones to decide the colours of the ribbon on the trophy in a few months' time.

Conte, an Italian himself, has proven a big hit in England, and has led the Blues to the top of the table with astute tactical awareness, excellent man-management and pure passion.

Ranieri is hoping that his compatriot can carry on the good work in the name of Italy.

"As former Chelsea coach and as an Italian supporter, I hope that Conte can achieve the goal," Ranieri said to BBC Sport on Tuesday.

"He has shown that the Italian school of coaches is valid more than ever."
