"?Laurent Koscielny has lavished Jamie Vardy with praise as Arsenal step up their pursuit of the forward, the "?Evening Standard report.
The Gunners activated Vardy's release clause over the weekend and they are eager to complete his signing before the European Championships start.
Leicester City only handed the 29-year-old a new deal worth £80,000 a week earlier this year yet Arsene Wenger has swooped in with a £22m offer.
The Foxes are now resigned to losing their talismanic striker, but Koscielny is delighted at the prospect of linking up with the Football Writers' Association Player of the Year next season.
"Jamie Vardy is hard to play against because he likes to use depth" the Frenchman told reporters.
"He's very good at running behind the defence and in front of goal, he doesn't think, he feels the goal, as soon as he can shoot, he does.
"He's proved this season with Leicester that he can be a great striker, and he's scored some goals with England. There will be very good striker during the Euros."
The Gunners have offered Vardy £120,000 a week to move to the Emirates Stadium in the hopes he can spearhead their assault on the Premier League title next year.
The England international grabbed 24 goals in 36 top-flight appearances last season and, if he forges a solid understanding with Mesut Ozil, he will surely beat that tally.
