Chief supporter of Accra Great Olympics Joseph Langerbel has described popular television station Metro TV as a ‘relegation station’ following the relegation of the club to the GN Bank Division One League.
According to the Great Olympics Chief Supporter, any team that Metro TV associates with, the team finally goes to relegation and that he even warned the officials of the team not to hand over the team to the television outfit but his warning was swept under the carpet.
"Metro TV is part of the reasons why we went to relegation. Every team that they take, they go to relegation. It is bad but my people did not listen to me. Now we go to relegation. They have to bring the club back into the premier league either than that there will be fireworks," Langerbel said in an interview.
However, Langerbel admitted that the performance of the players did not also help in sustaining the team in the Ghana top flight but much of the blame he attributes to their association with Metro TV.
"The performance of the players was not the best but look, Metro TV took Sporting Mirren, Zaytuna and Maxbees to relegation and now it is Olympics. They need to bring us back next season," he added.
