"This last season has probably been one of those ones where I've topped when I got the Young Player of the Year award."
Despite not being one of the main names the White Hart Lane faithful chant throughout the 90 minutes, the former Sheffield United man spoke of his respect for his team-mates that are getting the recognition they rightly deserve.
He also promised a lot more from his own performances next season, as he looks to steer the North London club to a successful season in his peak playing years.
"Obviously you're not always going to be at the forefront of everyone's minds with Harry Kane banging in all the goals and Dele Alli coming onto the scene and doing fantastically well, but personally I've been happy.
"We did well as a team, too, but I still think there's a lot more to come from me.
"I'm 26 now so I'm not a young kid any more. Hopefully these are the prime years of my career and I can push forward and win some medals with Tottenham Hotspur."
The England international made 35 appearances in all competitions for Pochettino's side in the 2015/15 season, scoring once, while he will be looking to carry his good form in France, as Roy Hodgson looks to guide the Three Lions to a European title for the first time in their history.
