Juventus Striker Simone Zaza 'Seriously' Considering West Ham Move According to Father

"?Juventus striker Simone Zaza is seriously considering moving to West Ham before the transfer window closes.

That's according to the player's father, who spoke to Mediaset Premium (via the "?Daily Mail).

Zaza has only been at Juve for one season, but the Turin-based club are willing to let him leave -  just not for a rival Italian club.

He spent most of last season on the bench, with Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata ahead of him, and the recent arrival of Gonzalo Higuain has further dampened his chances.

"West Ham are a solution we'd appreciate and represents something more concrete"' Zaza's father said to the Italian news outlet.

"We'll have to see what Juventus do and expect news soon.

"We are taking London into serious consideration as his next destination. Simone still has four years on his contract and would happily remain in Turin to give his contribution.

"Juventus don't want to sell Simone to a direct rival. Milan, Napoli and Roma would be the options, we'll see what happens."

Zaza was also selected as part of Italy's Euro 16 squad by Antonio Conte, and missed a crucial penalty in the quarter final stage against Germany in the most comical of fashions.

Fortunately, his Euro foible hasn't seen clubs drop interest in him.

He scored six goals in 21 appearances for Juve last season, with just five of them being starts. And at 25 years old with a valuation of under £30m, he could represent value for money, especially at West Ham, where Slaven Bilic has already lost both Andre Ayew and Andy Carroll to injury this season.
