"?Juventus have ramped up their pursuit of Liverpool forward Christian Benteke, and are expected to make a bid for him soon, with rife reports of a summer move on the cards for the Belgian.
The Serie A champions want Benteke to come in as a replacement for Alvaro Morata, according to Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport (via "?Sky Sports).
Morata has been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal, among a host of other clubs, as Real Madrid look poised to activate the 23-year-old's buy-back clause.
Benteke is said to be a chief target for Juventus, and they have decided to explore the possibility a bit further, given the current state of affairs between the striker and Liverpool.
His first season at Anfield certainly didn't go as planned. He made just 14 Premier League starts, but scored an impressive nine goals for the club.
The 25-year-old is expected to make an exit this summer, after just one season with Liverpool. And former Reds defender Steve Nicol believes that he will be replaced with another Belgian - Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.
"He's young, scoring goals in Ligue 1 "? which doesn't always translate into the Premier League,"? Nicol told ESPN.
"He's an up and coming player, he's an international, he's only 22, he's got ability, and he scores goals.
"I think there's a good possibility he goes to Liverpool over Spurs. I think there's a good chance this kid goes to Liverpool as one Belgian will go out in Benteke, and another will come in, in Batshuayi."
