Juventus Eyeing Up Shock Move for Manchester United Outcast Memphis Depay

"?Memphis Depay's Old Trafford nightmare looks set to end, with Juventus the latest club linked with a surprise move for the Dutchman.

Reports in the "?Star suggest that the Italian champions are considering a bid for the winger, who appears surplus to requirements at Manchester United having spent much of this season out of the side.

Depay joined United last year in a £25m move from PSV Eindhoven, but despite the promise he had shown in the Eredivisie, he was unable to replicate that for the Red Devil after mustering only two goals in the 2015/2016 campaign.

With new manager Jose Mourinho clearly unimpressed by the Dutch international, Depay now looks set to leave Old Trafford after various clubs have been linked with the winger.

Whilst rumours have suggested that Italian side's Roma and Napoli are monitoring the player's situation, Serie A leaders Juventus now appear to have entered the race for Depay's signature.

The Old Lady are currently four points clear of second placed Roma, but are looking for reinforcements to help them in their quest to be crowned Serie A champions for the sixth year in a row.

It's unlikely that any approach for the winger would be made until the summer however as Juventus are currently looking to tie down the services of Zenit St Petersburg's Axel Wistel, who becomes a free agent next June.

Although Depay struggles to make the first team and United, he continues to be selected for the Netherlands' national team and featured in their recent 1-1 draw with Belgium last Wednesday.

With Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial clearly above Depay in the packing order at Old Trafford, the Dutchman may have accept a place on the bench until the end of the season, before he can agree a move away from Manchester.
