Juventus Defender Patrice Evra Posts His Funniest Instagram Video Yet

Published on: 06 November 2016

"?France international Patrice Evra was known as one of the jokers in the dressing room during his hugely successful spell at Manchester United.

Since his move to Italian giants Juventus, Evra has furthered that reputation with a succession of Instagram videos, the most recent of which saw him dress up as a panda and dance, in a light-hearted take on the very serious subject of racism.

"?"?The 35-year-old has won further trophies during his time in Turin, with two Serie A titles and two Coppa Italias to his name, having left United in the wake of the disastrous 2013/14 season under David Moyes.

However, Evra, having performed poorly at Euro 2016 in his home nation, appears to have left his best playing days behind him, and has only made two league appearances for Massimillano Allegri's side this season.

Despite being out of favour on the pitch, Evra has kept himself in the spotlight with his videos, and his latest effort, where he pokes fun at women who love taking selfies on social media, might just be his funniest yet.

"?"?The Frenchman takes the time to write an extended bio, explaining each of his six examples in detail, before concluding with a wish that all women will one day take 'normal' photos.

Evra's presence on social media is something that former Manchester United mentor and disciplinarian Sir Alex Ferguson would have disapproved of, and is indicative of the kind of casual attitude that lead to his downfall at Old Trafford.

However, footballers expressing themselves, engaging with fans and not taking themselves too seriously should be applauded, especially in an era where players are under more pressure than ever before.

It remains to be seen what Evra will do next, but he is certainly keeping his fans and followers entertained in his absence from first time action at Juventus.
