Jurgen Klopp Keen to Be Reunited With Dortmund Midfielder Nuri Sahin

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is set to link up with his former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Nuri Sahin, according to reports in AMX.

Turkish international Sahin played for Klopp at the Westfalenstadion twice, firstly as a youngster between 2005-2011, before moving to Real Madrid. Then later he returned on two loan spells from the Spanish giants, before securing a permanent move back to Germany in 2014.

He is also a familiar face on Merseyside, having endured a frustrating loan spell with the Reds in 2012, during the tenure of Brendan Rodgers. However Sahin was largely played out of position, and failed to impress, before returning to Madrid.

However Klopp is generally viewed as the manager that unearthed, and developed the midfielder, and Sahin is full of admiration or his former boss.

"We worked together for seven, eight years. I know him well and I have a great relationship with Klopp", Sahin told Sport1.

Klopp is expected to complete a major overhaul of his squad this summer, with a number of departures and arrivals already earmarked, and Sahin could well be on his list.

Sahin will be watched by Liverpool scouts at this summer's Euros 2016 competition, having been called up to the final Turkey squad earlier this month.
