"?Jose Mourinho reportedly turned down offers from five high-profile clubs before choosing to replace out of favour Louis van Gaal at Manchester United.
The Special One will have undoubtedly been approached by numerous clubs following his departure from a struggling Chelsea side in December. However, according to "?The Sun, the Portuguese manager turned down offers from Arsenal, Everton, Roma, and from two of his previous clubs; Inter Milan and Real Madrid, in favour of taking over at Old Trafford.

Mourinho, who is believed to have agreed personal terms with United, had been linked with the post for some time now, but it appears he bided his time until Dutchman Van Gaal made way, despite him lifting the FA Cup this season after beating Crystal Palace 2-1 at Wembley.
Everton were believed to be planning an optimistic bid to bring in the two time Champions League winner following the sacking of Roberto Martinez, however these rumours quickly died.
Naturally following his departure, Mourinho was also linked with his old club Real Madrid, as president Florentino Perez admitted he was "dreaming" of reappointing the 53-year-old.
However, according to The Sunday Times sport Journalist Duncan Castles, Mourinho was happy to sit back and wait for the vacancy at United to become available as he watched The Red Devils fifth place after another uninspiring season.
Castles also said that Ed Woodward, United's executive vice-chairman, assured Van Gaal he would not lose his job in order to to avoid the drop in form that Manchester City suffered following their announcement that Pep Guardiola would replace take over from Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the season.
