"?Jose Mourinho is said to be targeting a smattering of Manchester United legends to bring with him to Old Trafford when - if reports are to be believed - he is appointed as the club's new manager later this week.
Louis van Gaal's departure was officially confirmed on Monday night, with Ryan Giggs expected to follow the Dutchman out the door after being overlooked for the top job at the club for the third time in a row after the departures of Sir Alex Ferguson, David Moyes and now Van Gaal.

With Giggs expected to leave, the "?Sun report that Mourinho is keen to bring in a couple of faces from the club's past as he looks to employ people who understand the famous mentality of the club - with Gary Neville and Brian Kidd said to be high on his list.
Kidd, who oversaw much of the development of the famed Class Of '92, currently serves across the city as assistant manager at Manchester City. However, Mourinho is hoping that he can rope him into a return to Old Trafford as his right-hand man in a new era.
Meanwhile, Neville has become friends with Mourinho in recent years and, with managerial opportunities likely to be thin on the ground after his less than impressive spell with Valencia, the 41-year-old could be persuaded to return to Old Trafford and join Mourinho's coaching staff.

The situation surrounding Ryan Giggs could make that move a tricky one though, with Neville said to be reluctant to accept a prominent role at the expense of his friend and former United teammate.
