Jerome Boateng was the toast of social media on Sunday night when his spectacular goal-line clearance kept the ball out of the net as Germany faced Ukraine in a Euro 2016 Group C clash in Lille.

Boateng's vital intervention came in the closing stages of the first half when Germany were holding on to a precarious 1-0 goal lead. Others might have simply given up and accepted conceding, but the Bayern Munich man didn't and the moment has since been the subject internet 'creativity'.
