Arsenal fear transfer target Jamie Vardy could turn down their offer of a move to the Emirates and instead pen a new contract with Premier League champions Leicester City, reported the "?Mirror.
The Foxes have made an improved offer to their star man, who fired 24 goals to help his side lift the league trophy for the first time in their history last season. Vardy's team-mates are also reported to have made an emotional plea"? to keep the player at the King Power Stadium.

Arsenal made their shock move for Vardy over the weekend, as they met the £20m release clause that exists in Vardy's contract. Powerless to stop the offer, Leicester were obliged to give the Gunners permission to offer terms to the 29-year-old and it had looked for a number of days as though Vardy would push on with the move.
His wife had even seemingly given away the player's decision as she posted on social media over the weekend, saying it was his decision to move. But it now appears as though Vardy has had a change of heart, as he did not contact Arsenal with his answer to the offer on Monday as he'd promised he would.

Instead, Vardy has travelled to France with the England squad and put the decision on his future on hold, in order to fully concentrate on England's Euro 2016 campaign.
Leicester's owners have tabled an offer in the region of £100,000-a-week in order to compete with Arsenal's four year, £120,000-a-week proposal.
Vardy's current Leicester teammate Andy King has stated he wants to see the player stay for next season, but that he's not surprised Vardy has had such a big offer come his way.
He said: "We want all our best players to stay and try to build from there. But what he decides to do is up to him. Was I surprised? No, I don't think so because all of our players have had brilliant seasons and are going to be linked with big clubs.
"For Leicester, it is going to be a summer of speculation of incomings and out-goings. Nothing has happened yet and it will probably be a long transfer window.
"It is 25 players in a squad and if one or two decide they want to go and play their football elsewhere, we wish them all the best. But we want to keep our best players and hopefully add to that."?
