Inter Sporting Director Reveals Rumours Linking Yaya Toure With Summer Switch Are False

"?Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has said the club has made no approach for Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, but confirmed they are looking at bringing in the Ivory Coast international.

Toure has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium with incoming City manager Pep Guardiola likely to sign players who are younger and capable of playing in a high-pressing system.

And Inter Milan has been mooted as a potential destination for Toure, with manager Roberto Mancini keen on a reunion with the 33-year-old who played under him for three years.

Speaking to journalists after football tournament Festival del Calcio, Ausilio poured scorn over a move for Toure, with financial fair play a big hindrance in Inter's pursuit of the former Barcelona star.

"Yaya Toure'? Someone insisted that he already held the medical visits, but in reality times take longer," Ausilio said according to website "?Sempre Inter.

"At the moment there is the takeover process. Nothing official, we are reading a lot of news and to be honest I don't know what will happen.

"This to confirm that the Toure news is false. He is on my manager's good book for sure and is also very pricey.

"We have a problem which is that of the FFP so we must keep our books under control. So our transfer market this season must follow these guidelines."?

Inter will play Europa League football next season after finishing fourth in Serie A, with Italy allocated three Champions League spots on account of coefficients.

But The Nerazzurri finished a huge 24 points off of runaway leaders Juventus and 13 points off Roma who occupied third place.

Mancini will have a summer of rebuilding to do at the San Siro with the club needing to sell some of their players in order to balance the books in accordance with FFP.
