"?Inter Milan striker Stefan Jovetic has expressed his unhappiness at 'never being given a chance' at the club as he reportedly heads for the exit door.

The Montenegro striker has struggled to assert himself in Serie A after being deemed surplus to requirements at Manchester City but insists he should be afforded a better opportunity to prove his quality.

"If we talk about Inter, I have to say that I am not satisfied with last season,"? Jovetic told "?Mondo.me.

"I worked well, was ready to play, but I was never given a chance. I don't know why, it's not an issue with me, as my performances with Montenegro prove I was in good shape.

"I am a professional and behaved as such. My work is to train as well as possible and be ready to play at any moment.

"If you want to ask why I didn't have the opportunity to play, that is not a question for me."?

Reports emerged this week suggesting that Jovetic will seal his exit from Inter this January, with Sevilla looking like the most likely destination. However, the striker is also reported to be the subject of interest from China.

Inter are happy to let Jovetic leave as they look to secure a deal for Atalanta striker Roberto Gagliardini, with the 22-year-old said to have played his last game for the club.
