"?Mamadou Sakho could be handed a temporary way out of Liverpool by Inter Milan in January, according to "?Calciomercato.
Sakho has become surplus to requirements at Anfield after falling out with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, and the Italian news outlet now claims that Inter will look to make a move for the defender on loan in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Ligue 1 club Lille are also thought to be monitoring the situation of their former star, but Inter are believed to be the frontrunners in any deal to prise Sakho away from the Premier League.
However, with the news that manager "?Frank de Boer had been sacked by the Serie A club on Tuesday morning, it remains to be seen whether the Italian outfit will harbour ambitions of bringing Sakho to the San Siro in the near future.
"?The 26-year-old was sent home from Liverpool's pre-season training camp in the United States after showing a lack of respect to Reds manager Klopp after turning up late to three team meetings, before Sakho refused to entertain the idea of departing the club on loan during the summer transfer window.
Sakho also took to social media to vent his frustrations at not being handed a chance to play his way back into the first team starting lineup back in September - "?a move that Klopp addressed by forcing the centre-half to train and play for Liverpool's Under-23 side.
Despite Liverpool's defensive frailties this season, competition at the back is fierce with the likes of Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan all vying for the two centre back spots in Klopp's first choice eleven and that, coupled with his attitude over the past four months, would appear to show that Sakho's time at the club is near its end.
Sakho has made 80 appearances since joining Liverpool for £16m from Paris Saint-Germain in September 2013, but is yet to make a first-team appearance so far this term.
