According to the "?Express, following recent criticism by his manager Frank de Boer, it's been claimed that 23-year-old Inter midfielder "?Geoffrey Kondogbia might be on his way to Liverpool. The move would potentially be on loan, in January.
Steadfastly refuting such claims, Jonathan Maarek, the player's agent, insists his charge is concentrating solely on Inter.
"Despite the current situation, Geoffrey is relaxed. There are no problems and he is happy at Inter,"? agent Maarek told TuttoMercatoWeb.
"Kondogbia is certainly a top level player. He has a lot of quality and is very young, so obviously he has a lot of clubs interested in him. Can I name them? I will just say that he is not lacking interested clubs."?
While the truth is hard to ascertain, what is certain is Kondogbia's quality. Nominally a defensive midfielder, the powerful player can also ply his trade in central defence or at left-back.
As for what happened between the player and his manager, the France international - who only joined Inter from Monaco in 2015 - was replaced after just 28 minutes against Bologna in the 1-1 draw on September 25.
Subsequently, he has not been involved in the Italian club's last two games, against Sparta Prague and Roma - not mincing his words, De Boer stated he "doesn't listen and keeps making the same mistakes."?
Ouch. Kondogbia cost Inter €31m and has gained 57 caps for France across the country's various youth levels. Making his debut for the senior team in 2013, he has represented Les Bleus five times.
