Inter Milan Looking to Offer Manchester United Outcast Matteo Darmian New Start With Loan Move

The Serie A heavyweights are looking to bolster their defensive options in the winter window, following a slow start to the season that saw them dismiss their manager Frank de Boer after just 11 games in charge.

The Nerazzurri are attracted by Darmian's ability to play on both flanks of the defence, and to make any potential deal sweeter, according to media outlet Mediaset Premium, via"? Football Italia, the contract is set to include a clause that allows Inter to purchase the 26-year-old in the summer, should he feature in a specific number of games.


It is no secret that Darmian has wanted away from United since the arrival of new boss Jose Mourinho, who made it quite clear that the Italian international is not part of his plans, and would be allowed to leave should a reasonable offer be put on the table.

Since joining the Red Devils in the summer of 2015, under Louis Van Gaal, Darmian has made 30 appearances for the club in all competitions. After his marginalisation at Old Trafford the full back, who came through the ranks at Inter's rivals AC Milan, will be looking to get his career back on track in the coming months.
