"I hope to help the club win titles" - Prosper Obah on his move to Shakhtar Donetsk

22-year-old Nigerian winger Prosper Obah has completed a permanent transfer to Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk from LNZ Cherkasy, with the terms of the deal remaining undisclosed, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The wide forward, a product of the Supreme Kings academy, enjoyed an impressive spell at LNZ Cherkasy.

During the current Ukrainian Premier League season, he featured in 15 league matches, registering seven goals and four assists.

"I haven’t spoken to anyone about my transfer yet. For me, it’s just incredible. – I feel great. It’s a big step for me, so I’m very happy! Good feelings", Prosper stated in his first interview with the club.

"Of course, I was pleasantly surprised. Shakhtar is a big club, so when I found out about the interest, I was a bit surprised.

"I hope to help the club win titles – in Europe and the Ukrainian Championship. And I want to personally contribute to the team with my decisive actions."

Obah also made two appearances in the Ukrainian Cup, where he added one goal to his tally, performances that ultimately earned him a move to one of the country’s most successful clubs.
