"?Hatem Ben Arfa has "?taken a fresh shot at former employers Newcastle United and former boss Alan Pardew, stating that he felt "very humiliated" when he was relegated to the reserves two years ago, according to the "?Chronicle.
The Nice star was speaking to French newspaper, Journal du Dimanche about the pain he felt during the end of his time with the Magpies.
He said: "In 2014, Newcastle sent me to the reserves for two months.
"I was called up normally for training, I would get changed in the senior squad dressing room, but then I would work with the youngsters on some remote pitch; you had to walk a long time to get there. I felt very humiliated, but this episode taught me patience.
"Six months later, when my contract with Nice was not approved, I had a desire to throw the towel in.
"But that feeling only lasted for ten minutes, because I had not yet accomplished everything that I wanted. It was impossible for me to finish like that."?
Former Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew said that managing Ben Arfa had "become impossible" after dropping him to the reserves. He then spent one year out on loan at Hull City before being released from the club on a free transfer.
Since leaving St. James' Park, Ben Arfa has been on sparkling form for Ligue 1 outfit Nice, and has even begun to attract interest from some of Europe's top clubs, including Spanish giants Barcelona.
The French play-maker scored 17 goals last season, helping his side to a 4th placed finish in the French League, just two points short of a Champions League spot. He was also a surprise omission from Didier Deschamps' France squad for Euro 2016
