Harry Kane has confessed that Tottenham Hotspur still have a lot to learn after a poor run of form gifted Arsenal second-place, "?Mirror Sport reports.
Spurs only needed a point against Newcastle on Sunday to guarantee finishing above their bitter North-London rivals for the first time since 1995.
However, Mauricio Pochettino's men suffered a 5-1 mauling at the hands of the already-relegated Magpies and the Gunners consequently leapfrogged them in the table by grabbing all three points against Aston Villa.
Despite their dismal result, the Lilywhites have still equalled their highest league finish since 1963 and hotshot striker Kane wants the fans to remain positive.
"Today wasn't nowhere good enough" the England international tweeted. "It shows we are still learning and still have a lot to improve on.
"But overall we have to see the bigger picture. We are in the Champions League.

"We have to stay positive and be proud! We have to come next season with ambition."
Mauricio Pochettino labelled Sunday's crushing defeat at St. James Park his 'worst day as a manager' but, after pledging his long-term future to Tottenham, he will undoubtedly look to bounce back.
Spurs can now look forward to playing in the Champions League next season and they have already been linked with high-profile moves for Alexandre Lacazette and Michy Batshuayi as they look to improve their squad.
