"?Current interim Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has confirmed that he will remain at the club as an advisor following the end of his stint as manager.

The Dutchman reportedly confirmed the news on Fox Sports earlier on Sunday, which will please some Chelsea fans who appreciate that Hiddink has somewhat steadied the ship since arriving in December.

Guus Hiddink will remain at Chelsea as an adviser. He confirms it on Fox Sports.

It was always set to be an uphill task for the veteran following Chelsea's dismal start to season under Jose Mourinho, with most fans still being horrified that they find themselves in 10th position to end the season. Despite this he did have some highlights during his tenure, one of which being the come from behind 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur which ended their rivals' title chase.

Hiddink's role will include assisting incoming manager Antonio Conte, who will take the helm following Italy's Euro 2016 campaign. Rumours have already began regarding who Conte will bring into the club despite the fact that the Italian is still trying to focus on bringing his country European glory this summer in France.

Following so much disappointment and uncertainty, it's comforting for Blues fans to know that they have a set direction as they attempt to move on from an abysmal season.
