"?Borussia Monchengladbach captain Granit Xhaka has admitted that he could see himself joining Arsenal this summer as links between the two clubs intensify with various sources claiming a deal is close.
Arsenal have reportedly submitted a bid worth €43m for the star midfielder with Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl confirming that an unnamed club had made a concrete offer for the player.
Xhaka has now commented on the rumours linking him with the Gunners, admitting that he could "absolutely" imagine playing for Arsenal.
He told SRF: "Whether there are talks or not, the clubs Gladbach and Arsenal know that, but as of now I am still a Gladbach player. It might change in the next weeks or it might not change.
"There will definitely be a decision before the European Championship."
The Switzerland international also spoke of his desire to fulfill his 'childhood dream' of playing in the Premier League.
"The Premier League is not my goal, but a childhood dream that will perhaps go once fulfilled," Xhaka said.
Manchester City are also rumoured to be interested in signing the Gladbach star with incoming manager Pep Guardiola said to be a big fan of Xhaka, having watched him during his time in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.
