According to circling reports, Ghana midfielder Michael Essien is expected to undergo a medical at Greek giants Panathinaikos on Monday.

The 32-year-old is set to leave Italian giants AC Milan when his current deal runs out this month.
He dropped down the pecking order this term and featured in only 13 matches for the Rossoneri.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Essien is ready for a new experience and would consider the Greek side.
However, Essien’s fitness is suspect after struggling with injury problems for a number of years now.
