"?Southampton have confirmed that club legend Kelvin Davis, Uruguayan creator Gaston Ramirez and junior goalkeeper Will Britt will all be released at the end of their respective contracts next month, although Davis could stay on at the club in a non-playing capacity.

Having joined the Saints from Sunderland in 2006, this season saw 39-year-old Davis rack up a full decade of service. He was honoured with a recent testimonial and had already confirmed it would be his last appearance.

Speaking to Southampton's official website, director Les Reed revealed, "Kelvin's tremendous passion and commitment to the club are two of the reasons why we are currently in conversations with him about a new role moving forward, in which he can continue to help the club's progression."

Ramirez, who joined the Saints for £12m from Bologna in 2012, spent the second half of the 2015/16 campaign on loan at Middlesbrough and helped the Teesside club earn promotion back to the Premier League after a seven year absence.

Earlier this year, manager Ronald Koeman had commented that the 25-year-old, who impressed for Uruguay at the 2012 Olympics, was not going to be a part of the future plans at St Mary's. As such, he has been tipped to re-join Middlesbrough on a permanent deal.

Ramirez only played four times in the Premier League in each of the last two seasons and only made just over 50 appearances in four years as a Southampton player. His time at the club also included a spell on loan at Hull in 2014/15.

Youngster Britt turned 21 years of age in March and has never played for the Southampton first-team. He joined the club from Brighton's youth setup and previously spent time on loan in Norwich's junior ranks.
