Ghanaian defender Ofosu Appiah scored the opener for Skonto FC in their 3-1 win at Spartaks on Sunday.
The former Kotoko strong centre-back put the visitors in front in the 7th minute before Vladislavs Gutkovskis added the second in the 14th minutes.
Midfielder FrancescoVivacqua pulled one back for the home side but Olegs Timofejevs secured the maximum points for the visitors at the Slokas Stadion? in Jurmala.
Appiah has been an influential member of the Skonto side since he joined last year.
