Federation Cup: Dogo throws hat in the ring for title
????????????????????????????????????

Nasarawa United coach, Kabiru Dogo, has told npfl.ng that his team are in a very high-spirited mood ahead of Sunday's Federation Cup final against fellow Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, FC Ifeanyiubah.

Dogo explained that the Nasarawa United contingent are spurred on by the fact that they are just one game away from winning a first-ever trophy and are looking to return to the continent to feature in the CAF Confederation Cup next year after their run was ended by Algerian side, CS Constantine.

The Nasarawa United trainer took time to talk about their two meetings in the NPFL this season, and ends up by insisting that his team are ready for the final showdown at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

"I want to tell you that we are very ready for the Federation Cup final," Dogo began by telling npfl.ng on the eve of the match.

"The boys are in very good mood for the game because they know that there is a prize to play for, and at the same time, there is the opportunity to play on the continent next year as well if we emerge champions, which I am very confident we will be crowned champions tomorrow (Sunday).

"FC Ifeanyiubah are not new to us, and it is the same thing for them, as we are not new to them. Remember we played them during the season in the league, and they won the first meeting in Nnewi while we also won when they came to Makurdi to play at our home ground. So it won't be an easy game as such because these are two teams that know themselves very well.

"We have done our home work for this match. Now we have to go on to the pitch and win this by God's grace as this will be our first major trophy in the country as a club, and we don't want to miss the chance of winning it."

Dogo has been in charge of Nasarawa United in five meetings in the past two seasons in all competitions against FC Ifeanyiubah and has led them to four wins.
