Ex-Real Madrid Star Admits He Was Shocked to See 'Fat' Gonzalo Higuain Look Like a 'Little Pig'

Former Real Madrid midfielder Robert Prosinecki had admitted he was shocked to see Argentina forward Gonzalo Higuain looking 'overweight' during his first game in a Juventus shirt.

The 28-year-old, who scored 38 goals in 42 appearances for Napoli last season, played his first game for the Old Lady in a pre-season friendly against West Ham in the London Stadium on Sunday.

It was the first glimpse of Higuain in action since his €90m move from Napoli, and it's safe to say the prolific forward wasn't looking his sharpest.

His second-half cameo appearance was overlooked due to his arguably poor physical condition, with many supporters on social media lamenting the 28-year-old for looking 'fat'.

No one was more surprised than Prosinecki, who told "?Jutarnji List:

@MailSport @SheridanBird Higuain best get to training then eh?! ??????

"I was shocked to see Higuain, he is even more fat than me!

"They paid 94 million for him and he's arrived as a 'little pig'!"

The former Barcelona and Real Madrid star went on to say he has full confidence in Juve boss Allegri to get Higuain up to speed in time for the upcoming season.

"I can imagine how shocked Allegri was, after he insisted on his signing. But they will make him fit soon.""?

Prosinecki, who earned 49 caps for Croatia during his playing career, was also full of praise for Manchester United's new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, claiming that the Swedish striker will become a 'god' in Manchester.

"I was amazed by Ibrahimovic, he didn't even seem so good at PSG," he added. "He will score 30 in England and become a god in Manchester."
