According to "?Tribal Football, Roma are willing to part with £8m plus Antonio Sanabria to secure Gameiro's services. And as long as they are successful, Liverpool will be clear to sign the former Manchester City forward.
Dzeko won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and Capital One Cup at City, having signed from Wolfsburg in a £27m deal in January of 2011.
He moved to Roma last summer on a €4m loan, but became a permanent member of the squad in October, as an €11m clause was activated due to goal-related performances.
Jurgen Klopp is said to be searching for a striker, with Christian Benteke's exit looking increasingly likely. The 30-year-old Bosnian would be a great short-term option who could also provide competition for Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and Divock Origi up front.
Dzeko scored 10 goals in 27 starts for Roma this season.
